Risk management – Policy Manager
Job Description
This role manages the PL underwriting policy making and modification accordin
g to the upcoming risks, which include but are not limited to, develop and opt
imize acquisition policy and credit imitation process to balance the risk and
return to help the PL business grow healthy.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Evaluate the degree of risk and reward for unsecured lending products
and provide a balanced view to VC, Ops and Marketing.
• Develop country credit policy that is adhering to SCB's group credit p
olicy standards while customized for country credit environment and practices.
• Introduce and validate acquisition/early account management decision m
atrix or credit scorecards via works with internal resources (both at the grou
p and local level) and outside vendors (e.g. Credit bureau.)
• Analyzes Thru the Door mix of applications in conjunction with the fin
ancial performance of the products to report and optimize the credit policy th
at balances risk and rewards, and within the risk tolerance level set by group
and country risk heads.
• Work with underwriting team, fraud team and collection team to design
and implement effective credit management process that is controls credit risk
effectively, with high efficiency and scalable.
• Design and report KPIs across all credit cycle in order to measure eff
ectiveness of processes and policies of the products.
Qualifications & Skills
• Master Degree, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Res
earch, E&E or Computer Science. Professional qualification is a strong plus
• Thorough understanding of Bank operations, credit policies, familiar w
ith local legal and compliance policy
• Analytical skills in both numerical and non numerical subject matter.
SAS skill is a strong plus.
• Hard working, enthusiastic, dedicated, goal oriented, independent mind
ed,
• Must possess strong team spirit as a member of the Credit Team
• Has a good command of written/oral English and Mandarin
• Good PC skills in particular MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint/ Outlook, VB
A skill is a strong plus.
