As a market leader in Economics research in the Asia Pacific region, we are looking to expand the team with an Associate to be based in our Beijing office to support to our head of China economics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Source, analyse and provide data and commentary for strategy and economic publications
Look at macroeconomic trends in the China region
Be involved in projects for equity research analysis
Respond to client requests
Attend marketing and roadshow events
Liaise with the broader equity research and sales teams regionally
Build network of relationships and arrange research trips to provincial cities with government officials, banks and companies
To be successful you will:
Have excellent economic qualifications and academic results at a tertiary level
Possess strong technical and analytical skills
Have a solid macro economics and market understanding
Posses strong client service skills
Have previous exposure to an economic research environment (ideal)
Be able to demonstrate initiative, creativity and ability to work independently
Be fluent in English and Mandarin
